Lingerie Buying Guide

Choose lingerie by starting with the silhouette, coverage and fit you want. Then compare the measurements and construction of the particular product. A similar name or letter size does not mean two styles will fit the same way.

Choose your silhouette

  • Lingerie sets combine separate coordinating pieces. Check what is included, especially in multi-piece or garter styles.
  • Lingerie bodysuits have a connected one-piece cut. Consider torso fit as well as bust, waist and hips.
  • Babydoll lingerie has a skirted silhouette. A looser skirt does not necessarily mean a looser fit at the bust.

Measure before choosing a size

Use a soft tape measure and the instructions in the product-specific chart. Record your bust, waist and hip measurements and check any listed garment length. Keep the tape level without pulling it tight. Letter sizes can vary between designs, so do not rely only on your usual size.

If measurements fall across sizes, contact support@softrevel.com with the product link and measurements. Do not automatically size up or down without checking the cut and available adjustment.

Compare coverage, lining and support

Lace and mesh can be lined or unlined. Check front, back and close-up photographs. Look for stated cup padding, underwires, closures and adjustable straps. Appearance alone cannot confirm compression, support or comfort over a full day.

Check the contents and options

Select the intended colour and size before adding to your bag. For garter lingerie sets, confirm whether stockings and a separate belt are included. Styling accessories in photographs are not a packing list.

Plan for the occasion
